As PRP activates your body’s own natural healing abilities it can help patients avoid invasive procedures to give you the long-term results you desire.
HAVE ANY QUESTIONS?When you undergo PRP therapy, the treatment starts with drawing a sample of your own blood.
The process consists of:
The fact that PRP is made from your own blood means that the risk of rejection from your tissues is almost non-existent, and the process itself is minimally invasive with little to no downtime. It helps resolve the underlying root of what is causing you pain. This follows the idea of addressing your issues, versus simply “masking” your symptoms, which happens often with pain medication.
Most people who come in for PRP therapy can carry on with their day immediately following the appointment.
Below are some health issues that PRP treatment can successfully treat:

Christine is from the Dayton, Ohio area where she graduated with a Master of Science degree in Nursing from Wright State University in 2002. She worked in various clinical and administrative nursing positions in the state of Ohio prior to coming to New York City in 2017. For the past three years her focus has been on stem cell therapy and the benefits it can provide to her patients.
A large part of Christine’s dedication to making stem cell therapy available to patients is a result of her treating patients with chronic pain, coupled with the overuse of opioid medications by the healthcare industry. In particular, she grew frustrated when Ohio rose to the second highest rate of opioid overdoses in the United States. As a matter of conscience, she was driven to identify a better way forward to help patients be free of pain and allow them to experience and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
The change in Christine’s caregiving philosophy brought her to New York City in order to join a multidisciplinary sports, anti-aging, and pain management practice. Ultimately, her passion to treat pain with different modalities has led her to the field of regenerative medicine.
As a result, Christine has served as an ACNP stem cell coordinator for three years here in New York. Her position has led her to work with patients ranging from professional athletes to weekend warriors; in addition to patients with general symptoms, such as back pain, knee, and shoulder pain.
Christine has expressed her hopes for helping patients of Elevated Healthcare NYC in this way:
“The science of stem cells is fascinating and intricate. As you can imagine, the field of regenerative medicine is advancing every day. My goal is to always stay on top of the innovations in the field and when possible, make them available to our patients at Elevated. Also, my goal is not just to treat, but to hopefully replace ailing tissue with new tissue.”

BACKGROUND
Dr. Edmund Shockey came to New York City in 2006 because his ideas and aspirations felt too big for any place else. He grew up in Louisville, KY; graduated with a BA in Chemistry, and initially pursued a career in resin manufacturing and application. After over a decade in the private industry, Dr. Shockey felt burned out and frustrated. This was in large part due to health challenges along with dissatisfaction with his job duties. After some soul searching, he decided to make a bold move. He sold everything, bought a motorcycle, and rode to San Francisco to enroll at Life Chiropractic College West.
This was a daring change, but Dr. Shockey felt compelled to help others as he had been helped by chiropractic therapies and naturopathy. For 11 years, he suffered from recurring skin eruptions throughout his body, persistently swollen lymph nodes, crippling fatigue, and continual back pain. After years of pills and medical testing to no avail except for a cryptic diagnosis of erythema multiformae (Latin: “inflamed lesions of different shapes”), he consulted holistic practitioners rather than strictly medical personnel. The change was astounding. His symptoms were reduced by 80% after 4 weeks of detoxification, altered meal planning, spinal adjustments, and yoga with meditation. Today, Dr. Shockey considers himself 98% better.
In his words, “My will to live … and hope in the future came back with the therapies. I am committed to caring for my patients in this comprehensive approach where we remove the stress on the joints, in the cells, and around the mind so people can reclaim their lives just as I did.”
